We’re releasing a new coffee this month! Since it’s our first production roast of this coffee, we admit: it may not be perfect. That’s why we’re selling bags from the first roast at a discount, and we’re keeping the details of the coffee a secret. Everyone loves surprises!
This month’s Mystery Coffee was dried in cherry and comes from an origin that’s new to our lineup (but not due to lack of trying). It comes from a single farm that, while focusing largely on traditional washed coffees and common cultivars, often experiments with more exotic cultivars and processing methods. In the cup itself, we taste flavors of orange, cream, and fudge. We’re targeting a light city roast with this coffee. This coffee excels in all brewing formats – pourovers are complex and drinkable, immersion brewing is quite sweet, and – while it won’t be for everyone since the roast is on the lighter side – espresso shots have lovely texture and flavor. The eventual retail price of this coffee will be $29.
