When we reach for coffee at Nonesuch HQ, we often find that rather than looking for coffees with exotic flavor profiles, we look for coffees that we could sip and sip all day long. This washed coffee from Papua New Guinea is that kind of coffee: the flavor is dominated by brown sugar tones before the flavor terminates with an abrupt but refreshing acidic crispness that brings to mind crisp persimmons or plums. The overall impression reminds us of a cool day in which the breeze first shifts from warm to cool, and it’s a coffee we plan on drinking frequently over the next few months.
