There are certain words that an importer can use to describe a coffee that make me order samples in a hurry, with tart cherry notes being near the top of that list. Add “Kirinyaga, Kenya” and “99% of the crop consists of SL-28” to the description and I'm off measuring to see how many bags I can fit into my storage space (it's not very many). This coffee doesn't disappoint – it has a very robust flavor, mixing flavors of cola with a tart cherry finish that intensifies as the cup cools. It excels in a filtered pourover where its excellent complexity really stands out.
